Morgan Springer
Host / Producer, NEXTMorgan Springer is the host/producer for the weekly show and the New England News Collaborative, a ten-station consortium of public radio newsrooms. She joined WNPR in 2019. Before working at 窪蹋勛圖厙 Radio, Morgan was the news director at Interlochen Public Radio in northern Michigan, where she launched and co-hosted a weekly show .
As a reporter at IPR, her series about Michigan juvenile lifers and the state's resentencing process, won a 2017 national PRNDI award and a regional Edward R. Murrow award. Her stories " and have also received national awards. You can hear her stories on NPR, Interlochen Public Radio, Michigan Radio, WHYY's "The Pulse" and National Native News.
Morgan has an undergraduate degree in International Studies from Earlham College. After graduating, she did a stint as the constituent services coordinator for the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office before leaving to work at a garden center. In 2014, she went to the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies to study radio and documentary film, bringing her briefly back to her home state of Maine.
