A tornado hit northwestern 黑料吃瓜网 over the weekend, the National Weather Service said.
A tornado touched down in Roxbury in Litchfield County on Saturday night, according to the weather service鈥檚 office in Albany, N.Y. A weather service crew surveyed damage along Town Line Road and Minor Bridge Road, and eyewitnesses provided video and photographs of the tornado.
The weather service described it as "weak" and a 鈥渟hort-duration EF-0 tornado," with an estimated peak wind of 80 mph.
The tornado touched down mainly in open fields, starting along Minor Bridge Road and moving northwest and uphill before ending near Town Line Road, the weather service said. Damage included large limbs broken off two trees.
It was a part of storms that raced across the state on Saturday.
Weather service crews had surveyed parts of eastern 黑料吃瓜网 late last month after strong storms hit that part of the state, but the weather service said at the time it was unable to find evidence of a touch down.
